Hot Shot Basketball Tournament |
A basketball competition for boys and Girls grades 4-9 in the Freehold area. This is a shoot around competition where kids are matched up by grade grouping. The Kids have two one minute sessions to shoot baskets. The next event will be held on January 27, 2008 at the YMCA of Western Monmouth County starting at 12:30 PM. Peter Saker Open Golf Tornament |
This is a charity golf event. The next event will be held on August 4, 2008 at the Forsgate CC in Monroe Township. Proceeds of this event go to benefit Camp Qualty New Jersey, a program for children with cancer. Camp Quality provides a free week long camping experience and year round support program for children with cancer ages 6-16. Essay Contest |
High School students under the age of 18 from all over North America write short essays which are judged at local and district competitions. Winners receive awards and scholarships. For information, please contact carol Davis at carol@cjrlc.org |
Oratorical Contest |
The Optimist Oratorical Contest gives youngsters under the age of 16 the chance to speak to an audience, which are judged at the local and district levels.
